THE HOUSE OF KHOURI

The first Khouri, Fr. Jiryes was a priest. He had six sons, that became the forefathers of the six branches of the Khouri family.
He passed away in 1755 after having:

 
The first forefather became a priest, Fr. Andrawus passed away in 1775.
The second forefather became a priest, Fr. Hanna (John) passed away in Al Shajarah during the year 1783.
The third forefather was Elias.
The fourth forefather became a priest, Fr. Sam'ann passed away in Al Shajarah during the year 1820.
The fifth forefather was Ya'oub (Jacob).
The sixth forefather was Boulos (Paul).
The second forefather Fr. Hanna (John) who passed away in Al Shajarah during the year 1783, had the following sons:

  FIRST: Mikha'eel (Michael) has a separate family tree compiled and recorded.
SECOND: Azzam, who had one son whose name was Mikha'eel (Michael) Azzam.


MIKHA'EEL (MICHAEL) AZZAM
THE HOUSE OF QUBROSI


Nicknamed "The Cypriote"as translated from the Arabic language Qubrosi, MIKHA'EEL is the forefather of the entire Qubrosi family of Nazareth. Mikha'eel (Michael) Azzam was born in Nazareth during the year 1762. He joined Napoleon Bonaparte I, and became an officer in the French army with the rank of Yozbashi (Captain) on the 26th of Messidor during the eighth year of the Republic of France (July 17th, 1801). He returned to his home town of Nazareth on May the 22nd of 1812. He had two sons:

IBRAHEEM (ABRAHAM) KOBROSSI was born in Nazareth during 1794. With his appointment as Deputy Consul, representing the French government, in Nazareth on October 1841, he left us a legacy of a third generation of Kobrossis, distinguished by their service to the French government. Ibraheeme had five sons:

 


ISKANDAR (ALEXANDER) KOBROSSI the first son of Khalil and second grand son of Ibraheem, the Deputy Consul, was born in Nazareth during the year 1851. He had two sons:
